Who We Help

Pulse Wellness is a unique group practice, with therapists who know how to serve people throughout the life span.   Pulse connects people to their values and ideals in order to find compassion for self and others.  The people who work for Pulse are highly caring, creative and compassionate.  Staff has a variety of skills in order to meet the differing needs of the people who want counseling.  We are trained in helping people who are five to 95 and our offices are accessible so that we can connect with people of all abilities.  The staff at Pulse also sees people from the same family so that children and caregivers are supported as we work together to create the best plans for the family to thrive together.  Caregivers need to feel ease around the issues facing their child or their parents as they age.  Some clinicians offer caregiver coaching.  Coaching can be helpful in learning new techniques to ground and connect as a family.

Pulse staff is trained in Trauma Informed Practice and are open and affirming to those who are GLBTQ.  Staff understands what it feels like to come out and navigate being afraid and unsure about what the future holds.  We also know that coming out is just the beginning.  At times, people need support and understanding to make decisions about sex, sexuality or their gender identity and we can help sort out what is needed first and how to create a life free of what others think your life should be.  We are adept and comfortable at writing letters for surgery or navigating the systems for hormone therapy.

A lot of people are in the service of others.  Pulse Wellness helps the helpers.  Social workers, nurses, parents with special-needs children or adult children with special-needs parents are a specialty of the practice.  When in service to others, it can often feel like there is no time for you or that the best medicine is sleep or a glass of wine.  Taking one hour a week to open your heart in a private and compassionate setting can make that nights’ sleep more fulfilling.  When we feel cared for we are shored up to do the necessary work of caring for others.

Rosanne has the unique ability to see the strengths in a person before she sees anything else. She has challenged me to be a person I can be proud of at work and in the world, someone who can make a difference in other peoples’ lives. She has encouraged my professional development in many ways but none as much as when she convinced me that I didn’t have to be afraid to go back to school and with her support I did go back and obtained my MSW. I value Rosanne’s extensive knowledge and experience as a Social Worker, but I am most impressed with her heart felt approach. She is driven by her passion for justice and equity. These core values enable Rosanne to reach many people in need as well as educate those of us who are constantly learning by her example.
